Gingerbread Ornaments Recipe
Gingerbread ornaments are charming and decorative holiday ornaments typically made to resemble traditional gingerbread cookies. These ornaments are often crafted from various materials, including clay, felt, wood, or even real gingerbread dough, and are designed to hang on Christmas trees or adorn festive displays. They are typically adorned with intricate icing-like details, colorful candy designs, and often feature classic holiday shapes such as gingerbread men, gingerbread houses, and gingerbread stars. These delightful ornaments add a touch of nostalgia and warmth to holiday decor, evoking the cozy, sweet-scented ambiance of a gingerbread bakery during the festive season.
EDIBLE – Gingerbread Ornaments
Use a cookie cutter or cardboard pattern, trace onto gingerbread dough with sharp pointy paring knife. With a plastic drinking straw, pierce a hole in the top of each in the center and bake. After cooled, put a ribbon through the hole, tie to make a hanging loop. Decorate with icing and small candies. Hang on the Christmas tree, but don’t be surprised if a few disappear.

To store, pack in several layers of clear newsprint in a moisture proof container.
